G35's are slightly slower than Z's because they weight alot. One is 100% Sporty, the other is 65% sporty and 35% luxury + 2 seats. And... thats it.
Both are great cars, end of story.

Anyone in CA must have seen that Mia Ham vs Michael Jordan comercial -- it's a comercial with two great athletes going against each other. Likewise, our cars are just that: The Z is the fast and cool Michael Jordan, and the G35c is Mia Ham, a girl.

Hi everyone,
I'm the "Z bashing G35 owner" according to my friend DJ. I just found out about this post from my brother, and I just want to make a few things clear.
1. I never said what DJ said. I love the 350z, I have a model of it in my room, and have wanted the car for 4 years. I bought a g35 b/c I wanted a more luxurious car and back seats.
2. The 350z is faster than the g35. The specs obviously prove this, so why would I say otherwise.
3. All I said to DJ was, if you want a car for performance (which DJ cares much more about), you should get a Z. If you want a car for luxury and speed, get a G35. I think there's no denying a stock Z is faster than a stock G35, and a G35 is much nicer and luxiorious inside than a Z.
4. The day he got the Z, I drove up to his house and told him how happy I was that he got that car that he really wanted, and that our cars are basically brothers. I also have silver, and he has charcoal, which was my preference over silver.
5. Anyone who bashes a Z that owns a G35, or vice versa, is an idiot. The cars are built on the same platform.
DJ, you're an idiot for making this post. This is your 6th car in 6 years, be happy with it and dont come on the board to get reassurance that you made the right decision, and make me look bad at the same time. Thanks.

LOl my friend and i had this discussion many times. He has a 2005 g35c and i had a 350z. Its all in good fun, he would always ask to trade cars and drive my z so i had a feeling he really liked it. Its tough to decide which car i like better. Now that i've sold my z to help buy a house i'm looking for another z or maybe G after winter time. We shall see.

What bothers me about my friend coming on here is that he didnt tell me, and then he starts bashing me in his replies. I bought an auto cuz I dont race ppl, and got tired of searching for a manual. I live in an area where theres a lot of stop and go, and I dont feel like putting up with a manual.
Yeah, the G35 gets a lot of looks, but so does the 350z. I would say the same thing if I got a 350z, so I just dont like looking like an arrogant *****, when Im not. Im also putting on axis rims this weekend, which from what I hear is very popular among 350z drivers, but many G drivers look down on them, which I think is stupid.
I like to break his *****, but I def didnt say half the crap he wrote. For the most part, I've been constantly saying how much I love his car, and that I want to take it for a spin. Also, he bought a acura sedan about a month before I bought my G, then a month after, he buys a 350z. He bought one b/c I know how to shop, and got my car at 500 bucks above trade value, when he spend more money on an acura sedan. Then he went into a mid life crisis (hes 22 might I add), and was like i need a coupe, and my friends and I all made bets on what car he'd get. I guessed a Z in August, but he couldnt wait obviously.

My brother has a G and he knows my Z performs better and is better looking. Man, those Gs are heavy! Anyway, all he can brag about that his G has a backseat. Hell with the backseat -- I traded in my Murano to get a Z since I want a sports car!
Bottom line -- Z is a chick magnet, G -- everyone knows you're a family man (or woman)!

Too many **** retentive owners. Axis does suck, just like Konig.
