Gawd, looks like the hood's been dented from the inside out, and it's just too cumbersome. Find it hard to believe focus groups gave a thumbs up to this awkward design. I'm all for more power, but they could've accommodated it a better way. Does Nissan know what's it doing? Hmmmm, that would appear to be a crap shoot over the years, and in this case, NO

OT, but nice evo! I just got a 2006 black MR, and I love it.

On topic, I don't really like the looks of the hood either...it better be a bunch faster. You should have broken the window and popped the hood, then took off running. that would be hilarious... and informative

Looks like the hood of the E46 M3. The Stillen FI kit has a similar hood conceptually and it is the ugliest part of the design. Now Nissan has adopted that. Figures...

A lot of people said they didnt like the 06 headlights in 2005 claiming they looked bugeyed and looked like the Z was wearing glasses, but then once they started becoming common, everyone wanted them, I still do. I dont know what will happen with this hood, hopefully the aftermarket designs some nicer ones.

Any word on available interior colors with these exterior paints?

I know I am in the miniority here, but this new silver with frost interior would be probably for most

You can get Carbon Silver with frost, charcoal, or burnt orange leather.

Has anyone heard if they plan to use the VQ35DET out of the gloria (japanese M45)? I'm curious if anyone has more information on this one. I know they offer the engine, but why not in the US?

A factory turbo Z would make me happy.

Note: if the 07 were getting the 3.7L motor, wouldnt they refer to it as the 370Z? (And wouldnt they wait untill a complete redesign?) I think thats more likely for 08-09. Theyve only stated that the 07 would get "performance enhancements".

Its already been stated many, many times what engine the 2007 350Z will have.

I'm still having a hard time believing what others have posted saying it will be MUCH quicker. Half a second off 1/4 mile, extra -4 Mph traps and sub 5 sec 0-60. It doesn't have that much more power to justify these performance increases. it's just speculation but what to the rest of you think?? Is it possible to be that much quicker?

It's possible the 306hp HR motor is underrated
