2007 350z speculations?
The GT-S model, is going to be a supercharged 3.5L, and it's not even sure if the US will get one. As far as I know, it's only for the European market, but that could easily change. I don't think they'll do a 4.5 for the Z, as that would just make it even heavier, and i think thats the last thing they want to be doing with the Z. Besides, if they can squeeze a little more out of the 3.5, i don't see why they would want to change it. Its a good power plant as it is.

What could nissan do to squeeze a bit more power from the engine besides raising the compression a bit?

I hope they dont make any major improvements to the Z, because then I will want to trade my 05 in..

stupid question..... but if Nissan can squeeze 30+ hp out of the same engine why cant we do this?
What is involved with adding more hp other than raising the rev or compression? Also if they raise the rev wouldnt we be able to do the same with our cars? Or would that involve us changing some parts thus being very expensive?
Dont flame im just curious

In my experience as a pre-orderer back in 02, please understand that the dealers are (or at least at that time, were) the absolute LAST place I would go or ask for any information about a future model.
We here on this site had FAR more inside info than any dealer could ever have. Of course, that was back when we had Scafremon sneaking into Nissan headquarters and taking bootleg pics!

Yes, I will ask the question. It's halfway through 2006, so anytime now the 07's should be hitting the lot (technically). So does anyone out there know when this is gonna happen?? I might just grab an 06 in a couple weeks, then regret it after they release the 07 with 450 RWHP!
(maybe this belongs in another category...ahhhh no ones reading this anyway!)

Small cosmetic changes only? Any truth to this?
If that's the case an 06 would not such a bad decision. Of course, if I wait til the October (Is this the actual date??) release of the 07's, I could pick a leftover 06 off the lot for a discount....
