2007 350z speculations?
from what the manager at my dealership says (real cool guy and enthusiast has a 03 z with greddy tt and built motor) only cosmetic changes will be taking place as they did not have to send any of their lead mechanics for training only done when major changes happen (i.e. when rev-up motors came out)
Rev up motor and zero miles = I'll be most likely going for an 06. If I can get the dealer to about 26,500, she's mine. That's about $500 below the invoice of $27,144 for an Enth. Sound about rite?

Wow only cosmetic changes makes me
I went ahead and got an '06. I figured they'd change the track model a bit..make it lighter, and add a bit more power. The track model should come with 350hp at the wheels like the Nimso RS concept car in the new SuperStreet.

im curious to see the HP # now. i could be wrong but i dont expect more than 310 right now. my logic behind this is why whoudl they show all their cards right now with the next gen on its way
i think this will hold the car over to maybe a one more year until a next gen appears

350Z Coupe and 350Z Roadster
The 2007 Nissan 350Z is scheduled to go on sale in January 2007. The changes for the new model year will include new exterior colors, a new gray colored convertible top (Roadster models), Active Head Restraints and performance enhancements including a new VQ35HR engine.
The 2007 350Z will again be available in Coupe and Roadster body styles and in an array of models – five for the Coupe, including a Grand Touring model, and three for the Roadster (including the Grand Touring automatic transmission version).
More information on the 2007 Nissan 350Z will be available at a later date

I doubt it will be too extreme.... if it is, it will KILL all the 350Z owners that autocross or track their cars. They will simply have an inferior vehicle.

yeah i agree and if they bump it up too much (assuming the next gen uses the same engine) then what will they have to offer along side the new body style.
does this kill the 3.7 FZ engine rumours for the next Z in 08-09?
One of the benefits that you guys might miss when you think about waiting for a "next gen" is that a lot of the problems have been worked out of the current Z models.
I was very glad to see that most of the major issues are gone with the 06 models. You will be sure to see a whole new lineup of issues with the next generation of Z's
Might not be a bad incentive to buy an 06
