The Z is considered a sports car right? well I was just wondering how much insurance is for you guys. I know that most of you are younger in age and are probably in the same boat as me, 22 male but no accidents or sppeding tickets. I am looking to get either a Z or a G35 soon so I am trying to get an idea of the difference in insurance because I'm pretty sure a G35 is considered a luxury car. thx

ok I know that I'm not retarted. What I am asking is more along the lines of is the Insurance that you personally have expensive for your situation, meaning that because it is a sports car your insurance is a lot higher than it would be if you had say a SUV. Ex: If I got the Z my insurance might be 550 while the G35 might be 450.

I pay $1,332/year to insure the 350Z. But this information is worthless to you. Not worth a plug nickel.
Insurance companies rate vehicles as to type, average cost/accident, theft rate and other variables. The rating system seems to be a trade secret. Does a Ford SUV rate, say, a 6 while a 350Z rates a 9? I have searched and found no objective data about such a system.
That said, go to autoinsurance.com and compare the rates of the G35 and 350Z. Happy shopping.

That's unbelievable $200 for 6 months..... even if it's under your parents name. I'm paying 150/month; only have one ticket showing(no points) and I'm 28 (over the magic 25 insurance age)... If I did the $1000 deduc. it would have been about 120/month.
Only way it's $200 every 6 months is if your parents are paying the other 2/3rds.
