Daytona Blue color shading (stock) -- blue not as deep as others?
Did a search for this and couldn't find anything.
Went to a mini-meet last night and was also looking at other photos of DB's and noticed that there are subtle differences in shades of blue out there. Looks like a lot of Z's have slight variations in their shading -- some are brighter blue, some have more of a "deep" blue, some are lighter, etc. I'm talking about stock Z's of course. It's really only noticeable when you park two Z's next to each other of the same color. My Z is claybar'd and Zaino'd so it's nice and shiny, but the blue doesn't seem to be as "deep" as other Z's. Anyone else notice this, even on colors besides DB? Or maybe I'm just tripping out? Or detailing my car wrong?

It not uncommon for a car company to have many shades of the same color, mostly just due to the fact there is no way of maintain a perfect shade though out a vast number of cars with every spray, even though the paint formula is the same there will be small differences though out.
If you ever getting into car painting like respraying a large area you'll find paints of the same color name for that specfic car often have 2-3 choices to pick from. This is another reason that body shops will repaint the entire side of a color rather then a small section so you wont notice the possible shade difference
