This thread is funny. Isn't driving at a speed over the posted speed limit still speeding not matter what you are doing? Just because you are on a test drive that doesn't give you a free pass to speed. Same rules apply.

Sorry it happened to you, that does suck. Just pay the fine and move on. But thanks for sharing the story.

I feel for you man. I got busted for doing 70 in a 25. Sweet twisty roads in an business complex after hours. Funny thing is, I wasn't even planning on taking the car for a test drive, just window shopping at the dealership, and the guy I was working with had never driven a Track model, so HE asked me to ask for a test drive. I obliged, and as I was coming around this turn doing 70 in the 25, I saw the cop sitting at the bottom of the hill in a parking lot area, knew I was busted and just pulled over right next to him.

At first I was pissed that he busted me on a test drive, but he did knock it down to a 49 in a 25 so I didn't get a reckless driving ticket. Looking back, I owe the guy big time, can't beleive I was such an idiot. Good way to kill someone, I can't imagine living with that the rest of my life.
