I am pretty disappointed... called my dealer (O'connell Nissan) they told me I should expect a October delivery....

Don't have a tracking number but I ordered on 1/21 and scheduled delivery is 9/30.
I think the dealership collected all the pre- orders and sent them in sometime in February (based on a comment by my salesman). This may have put my effective order date in February which sucks but I guess that's life.

FINALLY.. word from my dealer in Shreveport, La.. Salesman said that the car is scheduled as a best estimate to be at the dealer the first week in September.. I have a Routing # of S2608**.. That is all the lastest info she said they have.. 
BUT who really knows.. just have to sit tight and wait..

Allow me to fully update for all present.. Since Atlanta, Ga dealers wanted 2K over MSRP in Feb. of this year.. I went out of state where my parents live in Shreveport, LA.. THEY took my order for MSRP with 0 down .. SIGNED all papers/ordered on 2/20/02.. I was their first order.. I recevied my black confirmation order card on 4/10/02.. Got an invitation to Houston car show for exclusive showing of the Z.. but could not attend.
Receved my packet #2289 on June 25th.. Just received my confirmation/routing # S2608** ..
The dealer told me 1st week in September to have the car into the showroom.. I seriously doubt this.. planning a trip to Shreveport in mid to end of Sept. to get the car..
My fingers are crossed..

what I really meant was,

I believe I read previously that some Atlanta dealer was charging premium over MSRP, but mine did not and I've been pleased so far w/responsiveness to questions, etc. He has rcv'd confirmation dates for only three so far due sometime in Sept, all ordered before April.

I received my confirmation and black package today.
Pre-ordered on 6/23/02
Received mailing on 7/18/02
About 4 weeks lag time. Not bad at all.
Packet number is 7907/10000. I just checked the list and wow... I'm one of the very last people to make it into the pre-order. Neato. Goodnight all. Gonna sleep well tonight.

Ok guys, I know I'm being a newbie about this, but I didn't even know order numbers were out!!!
I just called my dealer, and of course he wasn't there... The fleet manager told me, however, that they do have the order numbers, and that she'll dig it up and get back to me in an hour (which means 3 days)...
Please explain the order #'s and what they mean...
