Buying a USED 350Z, what to look for?
Well I am coming from owning an SRT4 and am seriously considering a used 350Z as a replacement.
Just curious to what are some things to watch out for in the 03/04 model years when it comes to known issues and warrenty work or TSBs that should have been completed.
Also if anyone know any Track editions for sale let me know as that is the preferred model at this point!
Thanks!

Personaly I would stay away from 03' models... Get a 04'
If you do get a 03' make sure you check out its transmission, make sure there is no grinding as the transmission is the weak spot for most 03' models.

If I had to do it over again, knowing what I know today, and after hanging around these Forums, I would NOT buy my '03 Touring. . .
Fortunately, all the major recalls have been done to my car (34K miles on it now), and it is supposed to have a 100K warranty on the drivetrain since it was a "Certified" Nissan.
I suggest you look at Consumer Reports as davidv suggested. There you see that the 2003 has a very poor reliability record, the 2004 is better, and the 2005 is very good to excellent.
If you are mechanically inclined and/or have money for repairs, then go ahead and get an '03 You might find one under some sort of warranty as I did.
In spite of everything, I still love these cars anyway!
Good luck to you.
Joe

If I could go two years back, I would have def bought an 04. Not saying that ive had any major problems, ive just had a bunch of small ones. I think im one of the luckiest ones that didn't have any tire feathering issues at all nor have I had any trans issues either.
