Default Fuel Gauge Concern

Hey Guys,
I Think I Have The Solution To The Fuel Gauge Concern, There Are Baffles In The Tank That May Be Too Close Together. Nissan Tech Line Is Not Aware Of This Correction. However We Were Able To Get Ahold Of A Field Service Rep Who Let Us Know What To Do. Our Customer (yes I Work For A Dealer) Has Yet To Come In. His Appt Is For Friday The 25th. After We Attempt To Repair I Will Let Everyone Know What Happened. No Other Repairs According To My Field Tech Will Work (trust Me, We Tried).
If Someone Has Already Had This Repair Done Please Let Me Know. Thanks

I'll bet math wasn't your best subject.

Its a 20 gallon tank. 20-15 = 5.

Ok, so I read through this thread and I have a question, I know alot of you guys are getting 15 gallon at the gas station, which is the same problem I'm having as well, I would drive my car til the dte flashes ---,--- and take it in to a station and only getting a 15 gallon fill up and my gauge goes all the way full. I know this car has a 19 gallon tank. So should I be concerned about what's going on in the tank or gauge and take it into the dealership?

Intermittent situation in my '04 Touring Coupe; some times it happens, most times it doesn't. Weird. I read an article on the subject where they mention that, the earlier you fill 'er up, the better it is (less gaseous pressure built up in the gas tank). During the heat of the day, allegedly, the fumes from the fuel create sort of a pressure that keeps you from filling the tank up 100%. Me? I don't buy the story. I think Nissan has to improve on a couple of areas in some of their models, very specially, the "Z"! Otherwise, I just L-O-V-E my Zed!!! (It may be an old thread, but it's an ongoing issue).
