Cool 350Z Merchandise!
So I am standing in the bathroom shaving this morning when there is a rather loud knock at the door. I wasn't exactly clothed at the time.... just about to get in the shower actually.
So I wrap a towel around myself and make my way out to the living room. I look throiugh the peep hole and see a UPS guy standing there with a good size box. I open the door and he goes.. " Jim Irvine?". (I get called Jim quite often.... go figure)
umm.. Yeah?
"I have a package here for you from Courtesy Nissan."
I didn't order anything from Courtesy parts, but I signed and quickly made my way through the packaging.
Steve, the manager over at Courtesy had sent me a little gift.
Steve and I spoke on the phone awhile back, and Courtesy is one of the sponsors of my350z.com, their banner will be flying very soon in the site. I suspect he sent me these two little tokens for a couple reasons.... one, because he's a great guy. Ask anyone that has ever dealt with him or the team at Courtesy and they'll tell you the same thing. The second reason I suspect is the one that made me smile. Marketing.
Steve is a professional, through and through. I think he knew if he sent me a couple cool things, I'd tell you all about them and hopefully drum up some sales for Courtesy.
Well, it worked. This keychain is so freaking cool. The photo doesn't do it justice. It's got a real solid feel to it, but it's not really what I'd call heavy. I know it'll look very much at place with my 350Z key on it.
The car, I had seen before and I was going to get one. A few times I almost ordered one actually. It looks great on my monitor now. The attention to detail that was used when they built this Fairlady Z is amazing.
I would HIGHLY suggest you stop browsing the site and get your butt over to Courtesy Nissan's website at http://courtesyparts.com/350z/ before these keychains sell out. When I tell you they are sweet, I am so serious. I have never seen a Z keychain even half as cool as this one. (and I have owned three different Z keychains int he past)
In checking their site, I see they have this cool Fossil watch as well for $99 that has the Z logo on the faceplate. I'll be ordering one of these shortly.
Very sweet.
Now my new Z keychain will sit in it's box and will only come out of the box when I am sliding the Z key on it for the first time. Damn, gives me tingles just thinking about it. I seriously need to get out more me thinks. heh

I received the license plate frame, key chain and watch in the mail yesterday. My wife ordered for my birthday. They are all top quality. In a former life I dealt with Steve (he's the Parts Manager) for several years. Their parts department is top notch.
I've lurked on the site for quite a while and haven't ever posted before now.
I'm a long time Datsun/Nissan fan and have owned a 1600, 240Z, 2 280Z's and have a Daytona Blue Touring on order.

Keychain looks awesome. I just odered one for myself. I think I'll do jsut what Jay said. I'll take it with me to pick up the car and when the guy hands me the keys, I'll take it out of a small velvet pouch (in ritual-like fashion), place the Z-ring on the keys and ceremoniously put it in the ignition and turn the key!

I found and bought the same J-Collection 350Z at: http://store.freshalloy.com/nis35143scal.html
It comes in the same case. Same product. It is $26. It is awesome.
At courtesyparts.com , it is only $21.95. Cool stuff there.
You can get T-shirts and posters.
The keychain you have in the picture looks incredible.
Regards,
Todd

I ordered the watch and received it a couple of weeks ago. It's quite nice but bigger and heavier than I thought it would be from the photo -- it's quite massive and very thick. But it's water resistant to 100 meters (more than enough for the swimming pool usage I put it through.) I'll wear it on my first drive of the new Z!

I got the same car from my dealer in Atlanta about two months ago. Regal Nissan, but no key chain. I had ordered one online but the Z was back ordered, go figure. And then it showed up in the mail from my dealer, so I canceled my online order. Pretty cool. Damn steering wheel is on the wrong side, so I'm having to learn to shift with the left hand and then there is the trying to fit my date and cooler in..........

Pretty nice watch.

Watch,
What does that watch have to do with anything?
Anyways, I also got the Model car from Regal Nissan. Pretty sweet as I wasn't expecting anything at all from them. It has been sitting on my desk for about a month now. Everyone at the office is jealous, except my boss who has a new M3.

I just got back from Courtesy, with both items in my hands. I couldn't help it! The model is sitting on top of my monitor right now. I think this is only going to make the wait even harder, now that I have to look at my car all day without driving it! I also couldn't wait to use the keychain. It's sooooo sweet I had to put it on my keys now. Very nice, I can't freakin wait for this car!
