Smile what a diff. alignment/toe-in fix makes

CRIPES! after a week with my new '04,finally had my feathering/toe-in problem fixed (front and rear alignment corrected and new front tires)

what a difference. It no longer sounds like Im taking off in a 737 when i reached 20MPH! it is the quieitest/smoothest ride now!

so ANYONE with ANY front tire "growl" still under warranty do yourself a favor anf get it in there stat!

the tire feathering/roaring is the only thing holding me back from a z
if a z were to no longer be under warranty how much would it cost to get alignment etc. done

Get an '05 Z if possible. ZERO tire feathering problems.

Yeah 2mm of toe-in will have a big effect on improving feathering. Will also improve straight line stability at the small expense of less steering feedback during turn-in.

If that is ALL that's holding you back . . .

According to my records, the dealer charged the previous owner of my car $69 plus tax for an alignment to the new specs.

So far, so good.

Default alignment

although i was charged nothing, the charge listed for an alignment was only $39! so don't let that sway you from a great car! new tires, thats something a little more. i was quoted $490 for 2 new rears including labor! ( i rec'vd 2 front's under warranty)

My 04.5 had the same problem... and it was a problem I was expecting since I did my reasearch before purchasing so I knew all about it. I got every mile out of the tires I could stand (the roar was really obnoxious), and once I started losing traction (inner part of tire completely wore down) I took it in and got my free tires & alignment.

+10k miles on the new tires/alignment and NO problems whatsoever. Quiet and smooth with no crazy tire wear.

Ha-ha! There's other stuff out there!

There are many posts and threads here about these problems:

"clicking rear axle"
"grinding third gear"
"window problems"
"gas tank filler hose"

I'm sure there will be more

I believe NTB has $80-90 unlimited alignment for a year. Check up on it. I once purchase this but ended up having my car not the Z aligned only once.
