na that thing shouldnt be totaled, my friend ran into a gard rall at like 50 mph and pushed the full front end back about 4 inchs the motor was in the radiator, all light broken and windows, two tires flat, left front wheel broke and a arms were bent, hum... and air bags, not the side by side though, but they fixed it, and my other friend had like 23k worth of damage done to his and they fixed it to, i guess it cost more to pay off or total then fix?

Weird, how badly were you understeering going around that corner? Was the front already loosing grip? (i'm assuming it was understeer that made you brake, since you didn't say the back went out before you tapped the brakes) if it was then you must have been going way over 25mph! heh, normally you shouldn't have any problem making a right or left 90 degree turn at (or greater than) 25mph.

Glad no one was seriously injured. I would seriously rethink getting another z for a while -- mostly b/c your insurance is gonna be insane. If I were you I would think about getting more 'seat time' at the track before I did anymore crazy stuff

With most accidents you have to have damage equal to or greater than 70%-80% of the vehicles value or it has to be deemed unsafe even if repaired

We are not your insurance agent, we could not even begin to guess. Give them a call to find out.

Racing thru residential areas is a bad idea...you could have killed someone.

Cool Points lost = 200,000

I am sure he gets the point. We don't need every single person here giving him a hard time. You learn from your mistakes. It must be hard as it is.

Insurance will definately go up. There is just no way around that. Good luck

Sorry about your car man. I remember getting way to cocky in mine and over correcting a third gear drift. I didn't hit anything, thank god. But I stopped acting like an idiot on the street. I hope you do too. Good luck with the fix!

@25 it would have messed up you front end. Going through a wall all the way to the mid section is more like 40+

<-- thinks drifting may have been attempted...
