as for me driving my Z, i am not able to compare to stock because i haven't driven my Z in 4 months. just by looking at it, you can probably tell that it would add down force. if it actually does, i'll take Nismo's word for it. so to answer your question, YES. i don't know if it's in my mind or what, but my Z feels more like a race car. i can't really "see" for myself if the front dips lower at high speeds because i'm in the drivers seat. although, it sure does "feel" dipped and i am more confident on turns at high speed. whatever the matter is, i like the way it looks.
my Pit is only a pup, but she'll maul the hell out of that target dog lol.

and no, i can't think of a situation where it helped, even in the rain you can still slide and spin all you want, or at least i can...
it MAY of helped when flying around a hairpin turn (dry pavement), you feel the tires breaking loose and the VDC correcting your line... other than that... heh, nothing... except make YOU look like a bad driver when it cuts power when you chirp your wheels from a red light...
i prefer to drive VDC off even if it's raining... I even hate the ABS... worst invention ever if you ask me... I loved my civic because when you needed to stop you lock up the brakes and even if you get into an accident still (never did thank god) at least you know your car did what it could...
with ABS it seems like you could have stopped... but some jerk-off decided that any more pressure applied would have been unsafe and caused an accident... therefore, you hit a car anyway... pisses me off...

Electronic stability control found effective; main effect is to reduce single-vehicle crash risk, including the risk of fatal single-vehicle crashes
Electronic stability control could prevent nearly one-third of all fatal crashes and reduce rollover risk by as much as 80%; effect is found on single- and multiple-vehicle crashes
Q&A: ANTILOCK BRAKES — CARS, TRUCKS, MOTORCYCLES
Well I didnt have VDC, so I cant tell you wether it would have helped or not... And thanks for the support to all of the people that that said something positive... And to all of those people who had nothing nice to say, why even bother talking, obviously it was a stupid mistake but thanks for reminding me...

Sorry to hear about everyone's accidents. But, while we are on the topic, look at my booboo

It was about 1.5 years ago and I bought a Z after I wrecked the G but it was not fun. Flipped it in the mountains near San Francisco at 4am when I got sleepy behind the wheel

The car ended up upside down after I flipped and the car stoped. I was able to crawl out with only a scratch on my knee that I only got because of the glass on the ground.
Needless to say, the G35 is built like a tank!

No, I wouldn't have guessed that!
From the description I would guess that the front suspension is gone, as are both front wheels, and I would also guess that the frame is tweaked, the front, both quarter panels, and the hood are gone too. If the air bags deployed add another big strike against the car.
Your insurance is going to suck major dollars for the next decade or so.
Good thing you weren't seriously injuried or worse, hit the other car.
wow Prashant, i'd gladly pay the insurance after something like that..... if you were in the passenger seat or if the damage was on the opposite side, high insurance would be the last of your worries cause you probably would have had more than a scratch
