Question 06 5at average/best MPG

I drive it pretty easy and cant get about about 19.5...Is this normal? Its about 50-50 highway and city and I usually can only get like 340 miles before my gas light comes on...The math doesnt add up to me its like not only will it not fill up completely, but it wont get near the gas mileage you guys get. I take it over 3000 rpm's maybe once a day.

AT's usally don't get as good MPG as Manuals, although thats heavily dependent on ones right foot...

My 6MT 350z Roadster only averages 19 MPG (80% city / 20% highway), So did my 6MT G35 sedan which has the same engine and tranmission

intake might increase the weight of your right foot because you would love to hear the WOT sound

i just drove back and forth across the great state of washington. i got 31mpg on the highways around 70-75mph. i averaged around 18 mpg around town. according to my computer, i could go up to 450-500 miles without refuel at that speed. not sure if that is accurate but i was estimating near 400 miles on a full tank of premium gas. i did around 240 miles on a half tank at those highway speeds. this his all with a manual though. i would expect an auto to be slightly less than this seeing you cannot control the shifts and what not

^^ same here. Just yesterday I let the fuel gauge go down to maybe ~1/16th and I still only put in 16.3 gallons. I have yet to take it to the point of the fuel light coming on. Speaking of I suppose if there’s 2 gallons for reserve, and 18 gallons from full to empty on the gauge, that kind of makes sense.

OT, I drive about 80% city and a lot of short trips, so I only get at most 19 mpg. When I get on the highway I seem to get better gas millage going about 75mph; 30mpg is my best so far.

I've learned.
Fill up when the gas pump auto shuts off. Dont go further.
You WILL have a messy spill.

Talking D12 Bhp

I have 350z that has the Air Intake, True Dual Cat Back Exhaust and a ECU Upgrade running at 306.8 BHP.

I drove from London to Manchester over a weekend, filled up in London and refilled on the way back before Birmingham.

Full Tank - 380 Miles Driving average 90mph.

Odd occasion towing to 140s.

The car I own is a 6 speed (DB roadster) but the rental I drove was an auto ...

I'd also point out that the auto eats gas when you're going 40 to 55 mph ... reason being the auto keeps you in 4th gear instead of 5th (when just cruising). So every time I reach 40 or so I'd put it in manual mode and shift up to 5th ... the rpms drop substantially.
