FD Swap void Transmission Warranty?
I have searched and could not find my answer so:
Anyone know if swapping the A/Ts 3.2 rear end with the M/Ts 3.5 rear end would void any warranties? Since the 3.5 rear end is stock from the factory in the M/Ts, would it matter that we put it on the A/T? It's still Nissan...

I usually find your posts accurate and informative. But your wrong on this one.
"Most notable feature of the Magnussen-Moss Act is protections for persons with devices, vehicles, or products protected under Warranty. Warrantors are not allowed to make arbitrary decisions in their own favor to void warranties for changes made to these unless they can SPECIFICALLY PROVE that the added or modified part caused the failure."

Do not start a war in my thread. Start your own damn thread and ****-fight there please.
Ok then, I pose a new question. If there is a problem with my transmission down the road, you guys think that the service people would check on if I changed my FD at all..? It is not a very noticeble addition such as an aftermarket exhaust, intake, etc..

how would the drivetrain be under warranty if its been altered? thats like putting coil overs on a car and then being pissed because your suspension isnt under warranty.... changing the rear isnt going to void the warranty on the car. but if they see the rear has been replaced and there is a problem with the trans he will be paying out of pocket for that repair...
you keep refering people to the magnussen-moss act which means nothing.... the burden isnt on the dealer to prove the part caused the failure. the proof is on the vehicle owner to prove that the liscensed tech doesnt know what he is talking about. the liscensed tech is all the proof the dealer/manufacturer needs
