Dude make them replace it! If it's gonna get scratched up, you should be the one to do it. Why shouldn't they get punished for being irresponsible workers?

Dude, I'm pretty **** about my car, but dang you take it to a whole new level! I've scraped that thing so many times, it's not even there anymore. I mean honestly, who the hell looks at the underchin spoiler!? Ask for a free oil change or two and call it a day.

Wasn't there another thread recently about people being **** with the Service Dept. and they had to end up waiting twice as long for repair work, cuz they pissed the Service Dept off.

Personally, I wouldn't have demanded ANYTHING for just a 20 min. wait...That's really being a hard_a_zz, IMHO

Ok folk's a few free oil changes it is . Im being so **** because this is my first new car in 9 years . If there is going to be a scratch or mark on it , I should be the one to do it like some one else said ,not the dealer . Also about the comments that i will scrape it my self many times, I have had 3 miatas in the last 4 years . All of them were lowered and i never hit the curb while parking them . To the poster about trading in a lexus , I tried to trade in my 94 miata and there offer was less than my payments on the Z . Im just venting about the lack of respect the dealer porters have fo there customers cars. I saw 2 other Z's resting up on the curb like mine was. I asked for the car wash because they waisted a good hour of my time before th car got taken in . Overall im trying to keep the as nice as possible , for as long as possible . For others to damage what i have worked all to hard for by simply not paying attention to what is in front of them is what pisses me off .

I agree with you 06Silver. The point isn't that your being **** about your car, it's that this 'professional' company scratched up a part of you 30k vehicle. Sounds like a BIG deal to me.

If I got offered a free carwash, I wouldn't even take it just for the chances of them scratching the paint or other possible things getting damaged.

This is exactly why i dont like people touching my car unless its absolutely necessary. When i bought my used 350z, the dealer was like, bring it back and we will get it all cleaned up for you. I said no disrespect but there will be more harm than good done if your guy cleans the car. I said he probably doesnt even know how to wash a car properly.

I understand where you're coming from. This time it was something minor, next time it could be something major. The principle behind it is that service techs should be considerate of other people's property. Even though it's just another Z to them, that they see on a daily basis, it's still someone else's pride and joy. There's no excuse for carelessness, and it seems this service tech is just that...careless.

You do realize that your car was washed prior to it being placed on the lot by them anyways?

They know how to wash cars, it's all they do all day every day...
