Agreed, getting close to pulling the trigger on engine build and TT setup and I haven't hit 1000 miles yet...

I'm probably wrong but I thought you needed a manual for a pulley system.

blahhhh. pfft...

i'll take a AT upgraded w/ a stillen valve body upgrade (in manual mode) anyday over an MT.
don't get me wrong i love a 6spd but it gets to a point with an upgraded AT such as with the
valve body upgrade and upgraded final drive gearing you essentially have a clutchless MT. in
terms of performance IMO. albeit the mechanics will always be different.

whenever AT owners are confronted by MT owners just use this argument... "man you car is
so... 90's bro. my car shifts itself. you hear that bro? it shifts itself. that's what i'm talkin bout."

LOL.

if you mean pulley as in crank pulley, etc. nope. you can get a lightweight/underdrive pulley on AT or MT. now if you mean flywheel/clutch then only MT.

I have the light weight pully on my A/T and there are better mods to spend the money, at most the rpm's rev a little quicker. ( just my experience ). I have read it a "better" mod for M/T.

I think most people have a problem with the torque converter. It's just not the same with it.

Regarding the A/T and the M/T, with most other cars I would agree with going M/T, but they did a great job with the Z.. a few weeks back I ran into a guy who lives in my town,, he has the same year, model and similiar mods as me, but with the 6 speed.. I took him from a dig and everytime he went to shift, I pulled a little bit more... my car shifts very fast and does give you a snap of theneck w/o having to let off the gas ( need to learn your shift points ) .. I have to admit, if he was a better driver it would have been different..

yeah and truly the clutch has it's place in the driving experience. having a
clutch lets you do things on the road... subtle nuances... that can make 4
better performance to a point. honestly it all boils down to a give and take
you give a little with either setup. but both are damn good IMO.

i mean i got an AT because i use my car as a daily driver here in the metro
area. tried the 6spd thing years back and hated it in the kinda traffic that
we have around here for the commute. but my AT spends every minute in
manual mode. do i miss the clutch? sometimes. but i'm used to not having
it at this point.

now what i would really love is an SMG. f*** a clutch. gimme an SMG!!

Who's the hot girl with the wife? Don't see any ring on her finger.

BTW, I used the computer at the Nissan dealer to order my parts while they were doing my paperwork.
