Do I REALLY have a Touring model?
I have searched the forum most of the morning looking for comparisons of the different models. I have noticed in a few topics that an '03 touring should have 18" wheels, nav, and VDC (optional?) I couldn't find it @ Nissan.
What should an '03 Touring package have standard? Leather, Nav, Bose, VDC...what size wheels?
Is there a link or site that list models w/ options.
Thanks,
Lavon

Thank you. Was DVC standard or option? I don't believe ours has it, or at least there's no switch to turn it on/off like others we test drove.
Alang....Thanks.....You posted the answer right as I posted the ?

Here are the standard options for the '03 Touring:
"Standard features plus: 240-watt Bose CD6 with cassette and 7 speakers, leather-appointed seats, 4-way power driver’s seat, 2-way power passenger’s seat, heated seats, heated mirrors, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), tire air pressure monitor, 18-inch aluminum wheels and tires, Xenon headlamps, HomeLink Universal Transceiver, cruise control, Traction Control System (TCS), viscous limited-slip differential, aluminum pedals, day/night auto rearview mirror, dual illuminated visor vanity mirrors"
I couldn't find any info between the difference in wheel sizes for a manual or auto. If you don't have bose or leather, you have an enthusiast package (or someone went to a great amount of trouble to remove those things). If you don't have TCS as well, then you have a base model.

Base-no TCS, VDC, NAV, cruise control, HID's, aluminum pedals, LSD and has 17's
Enthusiast-gets TCS, HID's, cruise control, aluminum pedals, LSD standard from here on up, also has 17's, believe gets Homelink and dimmer on rear view mirror
Performance-first model you can add NAV, gets VDC in addition to TCS from here up, and adds 18's, still cloth seats,
Touring-same as Performance, has VDC, but adds leather seats, Bose stereo, seat heaters, same 18's as Performance model-nav optional
Track-lose leather back to cloth seats, no Bose stereo, but gets lightweight Rays wheels, Brembo brakes, front and rear under body diffusers, rear spoiler, again nav optional
**This is the breakdown for 03-05' Z's, you should be able to distinguish between the models now.

I have a touring model that came with everything that was listed except mine doesn't have TCS, only VDC? Does this mean it's not LSD equipped as well. I've always wondered about this. Thanks

I'm not sure what the breakdown is for Roadsters, but my '05 Roadster MT has all the options listed above. The only thing mine is missing is VDC (It says TCS on the button you hit to turn it off ). I'm going to take a look a the Sticker price (the previous owner left the sticker with all the options in the manual)

Alrighty! I'll have to make sure when I get home...wife has the car today.
Going by all this info....it should be a touring model.
Doesn't the manual state somewhere what model it is?
It is an auto...and 17" wheels.
Has leather seats...but no heater buttons.
Aftermarket head unit...Pioneer Premier DEH-M860MP (no manual or remote)
Has Bose sub...assuming the rest are Bose. (need replacing!) Rear speakers and Sub aren't working. Maybe not hooked up correctly or turned off at head unit.
Has Navigation system.
Has cruise.
No tire air pressure monitor.

I'm guessing someone could have bought a different model, and put in a Bose cover and an aftermarket sub. Damn, I have no idea what you have.

Man, I dunno... sounds like you might NOT have a Touring. Manual will not state the model.
I thought all Touring leather seats were heated...
If you do not have a VDC (or even TCS) button, something is up...
Are the headlights HID? Just thinking of what the deal might be... was the base model available in Auto? If there is NO VDC or TCS button at the lower left of the dash, the only model it could be is Base. Someone could have put aftermarket leather in it (maybe even had the dealer do it), and add the bose trim panel behind the driver's seat to put their own sub back there. You said the sub and rear speakers weren't working and there's an aftermarket head unit... maybe the previous owner ripped out his sub and rear speakers (if he even had any in there...)?
Not telling you to freak yet, but from the sounds of things, you may have been screwed. Did the dealer sell you the car as a Touring model?
