DT is first class. They just had 2 guys with brain farts.
It's nice dealing with a company like that, which admits its mistakes and takes care of them promptly.
I've always been treated royally at Discount Tire and the work they have done for me has been flawless.

LOL... you're as bad as me! I watch the guys like a hawk when getting anything done, which isn't much. It's not that I don't completely trust them, for they are Certified, but they are also human and mistakes happen. I try to combat those mistakes by expressing to them how much I care about my car, and if anything happens I will kill them. So usually they take their time when servicing my Z. j/k, kind of ^...

heh once i was jacking it up from the rear and i nicked the shield over the gas tank. I was hella pissed I missed it. Damn new jack. Ever since, I've beendoing it by the diff or suspension

wouldn't jacking up the undercarriage, and leaving circular imprints, cause improper alignment? i mean, isn't it part of the frame, so that would cause all kinds of things to go off? just wondering...
and is it really $800 to fix those kinds of dents at the body shop?

I've accidently jacked up my civic on the body before and made a buldge. Luckily it was in an rear passenger's foot area. I just stomped on it with my shoes on and it was fine.
I think your Z should be ok, especially since it happened to only one side. You have an honest mechanic if he told you to do it youself, versus having him do it and taking your $800 bucks!
