He simply doesn't have the financial status he needs to replace a blown tire, get repairs done, much less pay for Premium Fuel for the car, for the remaining 3 years of college that he has to complete...assuming he graduates on time!
At best, he might get a co-op job during school and at WORST, he'll have a minimum wage ($7.25 hr) job.
Thank the Lord, I haven't had to deal with a BS Minimum Wage Job, since I was in college ('83-'87)...BUT this kid might HAVE to.
Just food for thought...not trying to start a debate or argue, by the way.

However, if its his dream car and he can afford it. I still say go for it.
The New 06 will come with a 3 year warranty, this should see him through college.
Yes tires and fuel etc etc. But the stock tires arnt that expensive, plus he should only need to replace them once during the 3 year period.
Anyway, I got a sports car during my studies, it was difficult but I so enjoyed my car even though I had to work 4 evenings a week. For me it was worth it.
There is a tendancy to always take the easy road sometimes, getting the 350Z wont be the easy road, but sometimes its worth going the extra effort.
Plus I'm sure he's dad seeing how hard he's son is working for what he wants, will in the end help he's son out too.
In the end if he gets a new car, and after 2 years sells it and gets a Z, he'll just loose more in the long run.
Nothing in life is free, I still say go for it
