Get serious.
+1, I'm a design engineer. We leave off $0.50 parts depending on the configuration of a product. Nissan must be rich to leave in 95% of the traction control system on all models!

Yeah, good luck with that. Just remember this thread when you have the guts of your new car strewn all over the place and haven't found jack, then have to put it all back together again and have chronic dash rattles. Use your head, man; even if you find an empty plug in the wiring harness where a switch would jack into, it won't do ****. It's all about the control unit (not to mention alot of other components) and ECU programming. Before ******* up your car, it'd do you well just refer to the pic below and look for the two circled components. Once you figure out these aren't in your car, you can decide whether or not to swallow your pride and admit you don't know everything about car electronics and apologize to people here that were just trying to help. This is getting rediculous.

If I understand corectly you have a base model, you know you have a base model and you are wondering how you would go about ADDING the TCS system to your car. If that is what you are thinking let me say this. DO NOT TAKE APART YOUR DASH!!!!! DO NOT TAKE APART YOUR DASH!!!!! DO NOT TAKE APART YOUR DASH!!!!! The TCS system requires certain computers, harnesses and wiring THAT ARE NOT INCLUDED ON THE BASE MODEL. To add TCS you would have to purchase all of the wiring and REWIRE THE ENTIRE VEHICLE. If you have the expertise it will take moe hours that will ever be worth it, not to mention voided warranties, the cost of the necessary parts & the possibility that something will get f'd up. If you really want that system TRADE IN YOUR VEHICLE FOR A Z THAT HAS THE TCS SYSTEM. This information has been brought to by your local friendly fellow Z brother. Hope this helps.

Funniest thing I've read in a long time.....for some reason that statement just cracked me up. Why the hell do you want to "brake trac" anyways?
