You might get lucky and the Vette overheats and throws a piston in the engine....Tell your pal to bring his AAA card.

Man, I hate to admit this but I owned an '89 vette for probably all of 6 months and had to get rid of it. It's a complete dog. You should woop him. Everytime I drove that car the first thought that came to mind was, "is this all there is", mod depending of course you shouldn't have any problems with your buddy. Mine was a/t as well. IMO it was a truely bad time and wrong year to become a vette owner.

They are like low 15/high 14 sec cars from what I have seen at the track

A properly driven stock Z should have no problem killing one that is stock

With mods its all a matter of money and who spent more on mods lol

Look under the hood. If you see twin Garrett turbochargers you are in trouble.

I'm not done modding my car yet bud. I also got other priorities before modding my car. Like school books and such... But I did buy some coilovers and HFCs. ETA next week hopefully.

That era of Corvette makes like 200hp to the wheels. They are pathetic.

200whp wasn't pathetic in that era... probably pretty fast actually. Even 200whp today isn't too bad (for a Vette it is). Our Z's don't have that much more.

The vette didn't carry it (hp) well at all. Many cars do....not the vette.
