Default OIL Consumption Test

I'm in the process of doing a oil consumption test from Performance Nissan as my car just started burning alot of oil. Based on the white smoke from my tail pipes, it seems like I have a faulty headgasket as my water temp is also reading low. Will this cause my motor to burn oil? Also If I rev and drive hard this next few weeks will I burn more oil? I want a new motor bad as I'm at 54K miles.

Secondly, assuming the test fails and I get a new short block, anyone have a dealer install aftermarket cams in since the head will be apart?
