I think the term Sports Car is being used pretty loosely these days.. a guy I work with called his 2001 Eclipse a sports car and I about fell out. Check out Yahoo's list of "sports cars"...

$42,000 for the 350Z. I hate it when they try to skew the Z's price tag. I would never have bought the Z if I saw the $42K price tag. Good thing I did some research and got mine (new) for $26,000.

Pretty rediculous. That is is just about the most pathetic thing I've ever seen. The elise dead last? It's one of the best handling cars in the world, and is much better then 80% of those cars listed. Same with the Viper.

What I don't get is how the Z06 got #2, yet the Viper got #13 when they both are great looking cars with nearly the same performance. Baffles the mind.

Well, there could be other factors in their ranking other then looks and performance. They could have put an overall ranking on bang for buck, conviences, reliabilty, parts available, maintenence cost, practicality, etc.

This is a ranking of consumer reports, not a ranking of the best super cars.

+1 I couldn't have "reposted" that any better. Very true though.

The Boxster a.k.a. POS shouldn't be anywhere near top 20.

STIs and Evos are 4-door family cars (that I wouldn't mind having), that is why its not there.

Yes, the Elise should be in the top 5

the Z is relatively low maintainence and pretty reliable comparing to the other cars on the list. Making the CR list is a no brainer.

I've gotten real good at walking backwards after I park my ZR. Of course my wife helps guide me.
