Default Bobblehead Passenger

Whenever you guys drive with a passenger, does his or her head move back and forth when you shift? It really bothers me. When I'm shifting I see a head just moving back and forth in the corner of my eye and I can't stand it.

Actually that's pretty common, even with a good shifter. Your head doesn't do that in the drivers seat because you know when to react to it.

I know what you mean about it though, I laugh at my girlfriend cause she constantly doese it. Anyway, I'd rather watch my passenger's head go back and forth than burn my clutch.

LOL!! i hate this also. makes me feel like i suck at driving. it reminds me of Initial D, if any of you read the manga, when Takumi drives that girl to the beach and she compliments him on how smooth he drives. i'd imagine if i ever had a cup of water in my Z, i'd have a wet interior within minutes.

I had my mom with me in the car the other day and almost killed her with that bobble head crap. Its really obnoxious, and I wasn't driving hard and have plenty of experience in a stick. I was like "why don't you grow some neck bones or something?". Oh well, rather her do that then waste away the clutch.

Mention'd that in this thread lol. Gotta shift slowly and smooth. Don't drive like a racer. When I first got the car that's how it was. My girl passengers got headaches lol now its much smoother and everyones happy

That and your bracing yourself with your hands on the wheel and feet on the pedals. This bothers me too, but oh well. Thats what they have to suffer for a ride in the Z.

You didn't have a "sport" suspension on your other cars.

I do it all the time when I'm a passengers. I do it a lot, and I'll sometime add some arm action under braking.

It pisses the driver soo much it's hilarious !

it has NOTHING to do with how good or bad of a shifter you are

you are shifting from to high of an acceration

theres a few things you can do to remedy this (assuming you can shift smoothly)

1. when you shift take your foot all the way off the gas before you put the clutch in (you have to do it slowly or your passengers head will bob anyway) then shift very nicly, its going to suck because your going to go reeeaaallll slowwwww

2. shift below 2k, again your going to go reeeaallll sloowwww

3. **** your passeneger and drive it like you stole it, i recomend this option

it all depends on the power of the car and how quickly you drive it, i doubt you had any fwd cars with considerable hp that you drove quick
