One of the tricks to making the Z "feel lighter" is stiffening the springs. Since my recent move to SWIFT springs, the car returns to equilibrium a hell of a lot faster than it did stock. The stock suspension is a little soft. Even Sport Compact Car said that the stiffer Nismo suspension made the car drive better. Get stiffer springs and the car will feel lighter.

either way, people say the Z is heavy because most people in the world, dont know what they are talking about, ive weighed my 04 base model in at 3190lbs, with stock exhaust half tank of gas, lsd and no spare tire. my wheels are pretty heavy too, but i dont know the difference between them and the factory 17s.

3200ish lbs is not alot, especially in modern times with all the safet crap, all the people that complain are damn honda kids and rx8 people that think their car weighs under 2500 lbs.

^^^ hah serious....

The only people I see complaining are the people with FWD 4-bangers dipping below 3,000 lbs.

Even a GOLF weighs as much as a Z nowadays.

My Z with 18lb 17's (much lighter than stock wheels), no gas, no spare, tools or jack weighs 3360 and I can scan the weight tag and post it if necessary. It is a 03 5AT touring.
