Default Opinions on aftermarket mods?

What kind of aftermarket modifications should I get? I'm trying to start off small at the moment; not getting into turbo engines yet or anything like that, but would like something of sorts.

I would really like to get the nismo cat exhaust system and sway bars, jwt pop charger and what not, but someone had informed me that it would end up costing extra on the car price as a whole, and that I should just buy it aftermarket and get it installed by a shop after purchase.

I'm also looking to spend some $$ on some black rims, anywho.. I'd love some feedback from anyone who knows a reliable aftermarket seller in cali or just online. thanks!

How about buying the 350Z, driving it, then figuring out what you would like?

Well davidv, a buddy of mine has been letting me drive his Z on and off and honestly I don't know how much of a difference it would be to drive a stock one, but the car handles amazingly.

He has aftermarket exhaust system, sway bars and a jwt popcharger and some other performance mods on it, and I was just wondering as to where I could possibly consult someone who's a reliable aftermarket performance mod seller and what kind of things would be the most efficient at a moderate price to install other than a turbo engine.

Cheap mods for decent gains would be the JWT Popcharger, probably a lightweight crank pulley, and the MREV-2 + 5/16" spacer. More info can be found on these mods in the Engine Modification forum.
