Don't buy a 350z if you don't have self control.
I've had my car for about 6 months now where I can really drive the car comfortably and to its maximum to potential. I do not have self control. When I drive I'm usually gunning it because everyone wants to race in my area(Laguna Beach) with their AMG's and such which are fun to beat, although sometimes I get my *** handed to me. Regardless, I've recieved 3 speeding tickets in the past 30 days. I really do regret getting this car, it is too fast and I can not help but to push the car, I've tried my feet won't listen. Those of you who are shopping to get a 350z, if you don't have self control don't get this car. Some people are going to be like "oh this guy is an idiot", maybe I am maybe I'm not. I'm just letting you guys know that this car is not designed to be driven in public roads.. unless you like to use your pinky toes on the gas pedal.

What you say is interesting. But, if you have self control you probably wouldn't be in the market for a Z. You'd prolly drive a 4-door sedan or something. Something not sporty or fast. Self control is the epitomy of boring.
Keep yourself in check man.

Yeah, be calm when you drive and be smart when and where you're going to speed. I know the specific areas NOT to speed around my areas since there is about 80% a cop is in those specific areas. Other places I can freely speed since there are never cops on the side of the road, but always check rear view and side mirrors for cops.

Don't feel bad man, it's not your fault, you live in Soviet Socialist Republic of CA, it's basically a police state. I'd be dead if I lived there too(or TX).
I just gun it up to about 10 over the speed limit, so I get my fun from 0 - 55 - 85 depending on the limits. I've only busted 100 a few times between TX and CO, of course the last time I hit 130 I went right by a cop!

Get yourself to a track. Run it hard there. You will find that your lust for driving unsafely on the road diminishes. While driving on the street, your mind is thinking about your next track day, or the past one. A track day costs a $2-300 bucks, which is much less than a ticket when you are doing 108...(that is a lost license and a court date in CA).
That is just my two cents. Just give it a try.

Other cars can go over the speed limit too! Only ticket I ever got was in a Dodge Caravan (about 90mph on I95).
I find the accelaration the most thrilling and driving fast on twisties (where there are usually no cops). Can't really relate to the attraction of going way too fast in urban/suburban areas where the cops are; seems too much like asking for tickets.
