Personally I like the look of the Saturn Sky and I was actually looking at it when I was in the market for a car and decided against it for the performance. Now with a turbo I think those things will sell like hot cakes and if they stand up to quality predictions, It'll be one hell of a car. Im thinking it'll be like the srt-4 was these past 3 years.

Dont be pussyhurt, its nice to see the market moving in this direction (towards performance).
Exactly. As a car enthusiast, I'm always excited to see new great cars coming out. Especially when it looks as good as the Opel GT.

People underestimated Opel when they came up with the Speedster as well, then the Turbo came, 0-60 in 4.2 seconds stock for less than a base 350Z...

if you're worried about losing a street race to something with an interior that would embarass Rubbermaid, well, your priorities aren't quite straight.

PS: two more words: ORANGE PEEL... sure Nissan paint is CRAP but Saturn's is worse

Personnely, I don't street race because I'm sane. That's one of the issues with adding FI to the Z. Even if I had 600whp on the Z some crappy car like a Saturn or a Civic with a turbo will still think they are faster. The Z doesn't have the reputation and I'm not about to prove it to them on the street.

It's not that I really care what other people think one way or the other but the Z is suppose to be a real sports car.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Z. I would adopt it and put it in my Will if I could. I just wish it had more get-up-n-go. I don't mind when someone in a Z06 or a 911 has the bragging rights. After all, they paid for it.

There are more factors to owning a specific vehicle than 0-60 times

And Autoweek is quoting Saturn, so the numbers could possibly be skewed.

Yeah, but aren't the Saturn side panels still made of plastic?

I have to admit this is a cool looking roadster. Now compare this to the S2000 and I think this one wins easily in style and performance with a much cheaper price tag. Remember this is a domestic so there isn't that crappy import excise tax so that brings the price down. I am very interested in how this car pans out after real data comes in. By first impression I would buy one. I would still keep my Z of course.

who cares? it's a nice car. you can't have EVERY car out there. you drive the car that makes you happy, and they drive the car that makes them happy. If you're into racing though... I mean yeah it could get annoying but still on that note, if all you care about is performance, why not buy a peice of **** and hook it up. It will tear the saturn apart... but you're still in a hooked up peice of ****.

1st: How come you guys rag on the Skys interior?
Like if the Zs interior is something to brag about.

2nd: How come you fella's are saying "yea but it's a saturn", they can say the same thing about us. BTW the Z is a nissan that's another thing not to brag about so what was so bad about the Sky?

Interior is fine in the Sky. People just hating what they don't own. I love my Z and it's long heritage. This is my 3rd Z. I've owned 2 Z32's, a convertible and a +2. This is the funnest Z I've owned so far. I never had the Z32 TT but I've drove my friends. The Z32 feels like a tank compared to the Z33.

I don't, I think it looks better than the S2000 easily. That is the car you would compare it against.

The 350Z has more torque and it should handle the Sky in real life tests IMO. These paper performance specs mean nothing. Even with the 2.0l turbo I think the 350Z would take it with intake and the proper tires. It's all about hooking up with these cars. The aftermarket is solid for our Z's and it is built to last. I found my old Z32s were built very well and I fell the Z33 is no different in workmanship.
