Default Getting ready to buy question....

Hey everyone. Going around to some dealers tomorrow to look at a few used Z's. I have my eye on one which is an '05 touring coupe. It was a leased vehicle before and this is where this dealer gets all of their vehicles from. I carfaxed and everything looks in line with this. The question is, the mileage is a little higher than normal considering this car is almost 2 yrs old at 52K. Is there anything in particular I should be looking for as problem areas? Should I be worried about that mileage on a 2005? Price is about 20K... black exterior, burnt orange leather interior... 6 spd. Thanks for any advice.

20k for an 05 touring sounds like a great deal. 52k miles should not bother you, in two years they were prolly all highway miles anyway. highway miles being better than stop and go city miles.
anyway i've had 3 z's that i sold after putting 250k miles on them (each). Nissan builds a great engine i would not worry about 52k, besides you're getting an 05 touring for $20,000 !!!!!

ditto... i would look for more cosmestic problems, if any. 52K - engine / everything should be just fine. be sure the car have proven maintenance records - scheduled oil changes and tune ups, etc...

Welcome. I advise that you shop by mileage not model year.

2005 with 52,000 miles
or
2004 with 20,000 miles

Both will be about the same price. Pick the one with 20,000 miles.

I would say look on Autotrader.com

I got my 2005 Performance with 12,000 miles on it with brand new rear tires, brand new clutch, for only $22,500

Whatever you buy, get (1) Carfax and (2) have it checked by mechanic you trust.

Ebay's a great place to find used cars, as long as you stick to one's in your area that you can go see in person.

52K miles for an '05 is high but $20K for a Touring is a good deal. It's a tradeoff that you'll have to decide on. You can probably get lower mileage Zs but lower models (base/enthusiast) and older ('03-'04).
