Manual... sports car.... they just go together for me, but when im trying to talk on the phone and have my arm out the window and shift all at the same time the auto starts to look pretty good. But then again i always own manual cars

And now I can play the guitar, drink coffee, eat a sandwich, check my e-mail, talk on the phone and surf the web all at the same time while I'm driving.

I would prefer to have a 6MT, but it does not make sense in my case and these arguements can go on forever.
Does it REALLY matter what type of transmission I have in my "Z"?(By the way, mines an automatic.) Why would anyone on a 350Z website bash someone driving a car that he/she went out and bought themselves
?? Who really cares if its an auto or stick, its one of the sleekest looking cars on the road!
I don't think it should've been made in anything but MT to keep it out the everyday driver category! The car looks and sounds exotic why not do like the exotics do and make it a true sports car and not the option of a grocery getter.

Yea because those f1 guys and all those lambo and ferrari guys are such ***s for having paddles and stuff. Freaking soccer mom vehicle if ya ask me since its an auto.
lol I wish they'd make an smg or dsg for it. I just don't trust Z's enough to try and not burn up the clutch or have my tranny die on me because I'm a so so mt driver

BTW, more AT's are sold, by far than are MT's.
Also btw the sheer number of messed up MT's failing out there makes me conclude one of two things...
1. The MT has nowhere near the quality of the AT.
2. Many of you that preach this MT > AT attitude, obviously cannot shift (blowing your trannies in the process).

It isn't a made up fact that AT account for majority of the 350Z sales.
It is also a true fact that most MT drivers cannot shift for crap. There are a few outstanding shifters... Key work being "few."

I'd say the kids who blow their MT would have probably blown an AT just as well. They would be the type of guys to slam the car in D while redlining just for the fun of it. Being young and restless, they chose to get an MT and proceeded to do silly things with it 'cuz they could...
What statistic from Nissan are we quoting here? Nissan USA of course. We're probably the only ones getting AT Z in any measurable amount.
Most MT driver can't shift? Come on... How can you say such a thing ? I guess I must have grown up in a pretty special place because I might have met one or two person how really had a hard time shifting an MT. And that would only last 1 or 2 weeks. That's also pretty much the same ratio of people struggling to remember to press the brakes when going from P to D an an AT.
