i don't know what to should i trade my Z for the 335i? i love my Z, but daym that new beamer is sweet!! everything on that car is nice...but my Z gets all the looks and compliment from everyone...and i like to modify cars..but when i get the beamer i can't add **** to it..ahh oh well..whatever i stick with i be ok with it..
I'd go for the 335 also. Its fast, comfortable & smooth (except for the slight trubo lag when I first drove the car). I think vishnu got 70whp with just a reflash & a little extra boost
. However, I'd wait a while until BMW sorts out its issues with the new turbo motor.

i had a 2000 323ci before i got my new 06z and it was a piece of ****. it broke down all the damn time. i hated it so bad that i didnt mod it at all and i love the way they look modded. it was a sweet looking car and the new ones are sweet looking to but if it breaks down at all it is a biotch to fix, expensive to fix, and it takes a while if the BMW dealer is full. Personal experience.
BMW=headack (Both heads since so much action happened in there)
Z=easy (just like all the ladies i met since i bought it)

actually u can add alot of things to the 335i. they have a chip for it adding up to75hp. there r a lot of companys to mod up the car but only problem is that it costs so much. think of it this way. every mod u put on the z is double the price to put on a bmw. but also have this in mind. the 335 is tt. so the smallest mod will give u grt gains. but the 335 weighs 3500lbs
It's a high compression TT'd motor that is pushed pretty close to max as it is. They didn't put the TT's in it for maximum power purposes, but to make efficient power. I'd be surprised if you were able to pull as much power out of that car as people expect.
If you're looking for a fast BMW, the M3 is still the way to go.

I guess I'm in the minority group that doesn't like the new look of the BMWs. I'd still rather put a turbo in a 350Z instead of getting the new look of the BMW with the price tag. I think the 335I is around $41K last time I checked.
what do you want?
Z: good looks, not much luxury, loud, harsh ride,(to me those are all good, gives you a pure driving experience)
bimmer: not really a sports car, its "sports coupe", smooth, quiet, expensive to start off with, expensive to mod,

we've had my wifes 325xi for 3 years now, still drives and looks new, fit and finish is amazing, and you can feel the quality in the construction as well as see it. it was in th shop for stupid things probably 4 times in the first year of owning, all warranty work, but still... now we're off warranty and I feel like its a ticking bomb
dont get me wrong, its an awesome car, her next car will be a bmw too, im just not looking forward to any repair bills off warranty.
My next car will probably be the Z4 m coupe... but 50k is a little high so Ill probably wait 2 years and buy a used one

I know people say the fit and finish of the BMW is great, and I aggree the quality is top knotch, but I just don't like style. Maybe it's just the European styling. I'm waiting for the new G coupe. When I look at the interior styling of the G or Z, for instance, it wraps around you, like a cockpit. Makes me feel warm and confortable. When I look at the BMW, it looks too open and plain. Too sharp and straight to me like a 1980s chevy. Flat floor councel that takes a 90 up to the dash. No matter how the exterior looks, I can't get over the interior. Hopefully when the new G comes out. It won't dissapoint me.
