Default Any Tips/Problems/Advice before I purchase a 350z

I have been looking around at different types of cars to get and came upon the 350z and fell in love with it. If anyone has had any type of problems with their 350z's or advice of what to get or not to get that would be great. When i was building one on the Nissan website I wanted to get the Track model. Then the aftermarket add on page came up and they had all this Nismo parts that you could add, such as up graded exhause and rims ect... Is any of that stuff worth putting on, or is it better just to leave the suspension, exhaust stock and purchase aftermarket parts elsewhere??

Thanks!

The first purchase you should make is a clear bra for the front bumper and hood. Z are notorious for chips.

Your okay with an 06, but like the above said, get a FULL clear bra that covers your hood, sides, bumper, and mirror. Get the extended warranty if your worried!

It's fun building a new "Z" on the Nissan website!

If you have tons of cash to spend, then by all means go all out and build your car exactly the way you want it! It will cost you more to have the parts installed by the Nissan dealership than it would if you did it later on. But the advantage is that they did it, and all the work will be 100% covered by warranty.

It really all depends on how deep your pockets are.

Good luck and all best,
Joe

Agree. NISMO makes quality performance parts. Complaints here are few. I believe that NISMO is expensive. There are brands of equal quality for less money.

If youre going to mod it for drag racing, just get a different car . If you plan on keeping it stock or near it, Z is perfect all around sports car.

True. I wasn't familiar with the Nismo brand company. My buddie has a SRT4 and loves to put down every car out there, and made a few comments about how the 350z is slow, and this and that. But in the end his car, just like the other srt4's are cheap power that break down. What is his car doing, sitting in the drive way cause he blew the clutch while we was a the track. I think it has been sitting there for 8 months now and still hasn't touched it. Now i wonder why they stopped making them.

Black is the sexiest color for Zs. Get it black. If you don't get it black, I will ... not care. Jus' my 2c.

Oh... and make sure you can afford it. One thing the brochures didn't tell me is that the Z is very $$ to maintain. Some days I wish I had a honda but other days, the sweet sound of the Z + the hawt lady in my passenger seat makes me grateful, to say the least.
