I got the paperwork from the court a couple of days ago, and it said that they would set the court date in the next few of weeks. Either way, I'm impressed that the detective spent so much time on it and was able to put together a case that the DA wants to prosecute.
I'll let you guys know what comes of it.
And thanks for the kind words. Especially the local marines at Camp Lejeune, many who over the past few weeks have offerred to "take care of the problem" for me. You guys are awesome!

sorry man to see that, how lame of that guy. But I also have to say that your Z is WAY too nice to drive to and leave at a public school, imagine how jealous other kids get. I drive a beat up old 91 accord to take to Walmart, ect...just because I know the world is full of haters and when I drive my Z to public trashy places I'm just asking for something to happen

Glad It's Going to Work Out
When I first saw the pictures of the vandalism committed upon race4it son’s car, I was stunned, then angry. I drive a black 03 and knew what I would want to do to someone if they did this to my car. I wanted the boy, who committed this act of vandalism, to experience the same level of anguish the car’s owner certainly felt when he first saw the damage. I belong to the Carolina Z Club and had the pleasure of meeting race4it and his sons at Cape Fear Z Club’s Z Blast Weekend. I was very impressed with the kindness, maturity and performance knowledge of his sons. I am extremely happy the DA and the police department are trying to hold the teen responsible for his actions. For the last 14 years I have been teaching at an alternate school. These are the schools where students are sent to if they get kicked out of their regular schools. I hope this misguided boy will be sent to a school like mine. The level of fear this boy engenders from his classmates will not be tolerated in the alternative school environment. Bullies quickly learn the simple fact that there is always someone bigger and tougher than themselves.

Glad this got bumped, and especially glad they are going through with the prosecution phase.
+1 on the h-town beat down. I guarentee in houston, people wouldn't have been so nice. Im glad justice seems to be prevailing for a change. Once you get him criminally, remember you can always get him in civil court also. Don't let this end on the criminal side. Hit him and his parents where it hurts.. the pocket book.
Marines ain't the only ones who can show him a good beat down, I know some roughnecks who'd set his *** straight. If'n the laws don't git'r done. =P

And you would think what would of happen if your son beat the crap out of that kid insteading of being calm this entire time. You're a great father for teaching your kids being patient. Kuddos to you. Good luck! I'm sure you'll win this case!!

I used to own a 93 Toyota pickup in high school (I'm 23). I had my speakers stolen out of my car one day while I was at track practice and my car was keyed with "cool car". I found the guy who did it when I passed by his ride with my speakers "ghetto-ly" rigged in his back window.
I and my friends took the wheels off his car and put them in the bed of my truck, opened his unlocked door and took my speakers back. Now you may not be able to do this next part but I had some hook-ups with cops since I regularly campaign for the judges in my district.
I knew he'd come back for his tires. So when he came back for them the cops were waiting there and arrested him.
Unfortunately I did succumb to my primal nature and beat his *** after he got out of jail a few days later. We're now friends, go figure.

Out of curiousity, have the parents said anything about this incident? Have they offered to pay for damages? I feel for you and am happy to see the courts handling this incident vs you getting into trouble. I just would like to know what his parents have to say about this.
On a side note being a ex Marine, there is no law against posting this kid's info online. Hey what some random person or Marines do is none of our business. "WINK!"

From the callous actions, total lack of remorse, and the perverse pleasure he took in doing it, I'd say that school is lucky he didn't come in with guns and start shooting.
