There aren't 12 million illegals in this country for no reason.
Probably would have to say England even though I am not a cold weather fan. Choice two is Brazil, I do not need a ton of fancy stuff or a big house to be happy, just people and weather and I can make it just fine.

sorry to here about what happened to your z, and i think that you handled it the right way. You are lucky that all this punk did was put paint on your car and not actually harm you children, it sounds as if he has a rep for being in a gang and that is not something you want to mess with. Your sons should be greatful (as i'm sure they are) to have a cool father such as yourself. Don't let the a-holes in life stop you for one moment.
It is a shame that this kid got off without punishment, but even a bigger desapointment that there were so many young kids that lack the character to stand up and do whats right.
good luck to you

As for Brazil, their crime rate is WAY higher than in the US (in particular they like to kidnap Americans, so be careful). And their economy is far from stable with inflation running from about 6% to the double digits. And as for the weather, be careful about that too. While Brazil is real hot even now, scientists are predicting that because of global warning it will be one of the future real "hot spots".
Good luck with the move. The grass is always greener...

look, nice cars will get attention. it will get attention from good people and the *******s. And if you are the only nice car in the whole lot, well that just increases your chance of something happening.
From experience, i had the nicest car when i was in highschool. Everyday when i came out, there was something on my car. Once i found coffee on my car. Why didnt it happen to the civic next to me or the escort or any other car. Because people get jealous they dont have wachu have. its life and you can either accept it or not.

The US is on a downhill path with no brakes and I jumping out before we pick up too much speed.
Either way, you should give it a try, because there's a lot better America about anywhere than what you're describing.
Good Luck with it.
I actually spent the time to read every post on all 29 pages posted so far, and I'll reiterate what others have said in that I'm sorry on how this case ended up.
It seems that Karma has caught up this douchebag long before he vandalized your Z.
My friend's Ford Lightning was recently keyed all over his drivers side door and quarter panel as well as his hood.
Like in your case, there was no motivation in this, and luckily for me, my Z was untouched.
People can say all they want about how a high school kid should not be driving a 350z because it's too "nice" for a teenager, but I disagree having driven a s2k when I was in high school. (I'm 21 now) I did grow up in Simi Valley, CA
which you can say is a safer, nicer city, but I believe it's all about responsibilty, and there are too many kids who don't know what that word means.

Sorry to hear about the outcome... After going through all the pages of this thread and seeing how people are arguing I just have to say something.
This has no direction to anyone, just my opinion on what happened.
Parking at HS and driving this car is not father/son's fault. He drives this car b/c he can and sadly it was vandalized by kids who were hating big time. Things like this happens all the time regardless where you park it. If it's going to happen it will and there's no way of preventing it. The only way is to store it in your garage, drive it like once a week, and keep it there for the rest of your life. By doing this, what's the point of buying the car in the first place? In my opinion, I don't care if it's a ferrari, lambo, bentley, or even a Z. You buy the car to drive it. If things like this were to happen it will, why live life in fear? I only had to say this b/c my 06 M5 was stolen recently at my gf's place while we were in San Diego. It was a safe area, never had a problem before, and didn't think much of it. When we got back and I was leaving to work the following day *poof* it was gone. I felt robbed and empty. After sometime had passed I got over it and bought my Z. I always wanted this car, thought about it, and when it came time to buy another car I got it. I'm planning a whole lot for it but I know there will be haters out there once I mod it up. I guess that's why we have insurance. Can't help what happens it's life. Good luck to you and hope you find a replacement that will fill the void that you have.
