OK GUYS,

I filled up my tank today, and literally the pin went way past the F(FULL) and I topped out at about 37.25 for a full tank of gas.

My Question to all of you is this; Do all of you check your pod with the miles left till empty? If so, what does it read when you first check it out, I know it jumps up and down a little bit but it does come to a plateu.

When I first bought my car, its a 2004.5 (dont ask) Touring I would have a full tank and it read 321 till empty....its been 1 yr and 6 months later...and Ive noticed this for the last 6 months..since April that Its know reading between 260-264 till empty....

Just wondering if Im wrong on my assumptions that I thought it read 320ish for the longest time or if in fact something is wrong with the readouts.

Mine reads about 340 mile to empty when full. I get about 21 mpg as per my calculations...not the digital readout.

reset your trip meter, fill up your tank and when it gets to empty divide the number of miles you were able to drive by the number of gallons you filled up. You'll also want to factor in the gallon or so left in your tank when you filled up. that should give you a good idea of what your mpg is. I wouldn't trust the digital readout if it says 260 DTE
