Default Stop Terrorism buy a Z

I feel like I'm really making a difference in the war with terrorism! I traded my Honda CRV for a new Z and I'm getting 3 more miles to the gallon(23 MPG).
Anyone else suprised at the gas mileage they are getting?

Don't forget, Nissan is owned partially by a French company.

Grrr.

Around town, I do get decent gas mileage, though. Better than my GTP. However, the bigger, heavier GTP still beats it on the highway significantly.

Well you can put the cheap gas in the CRV and you should be putting premium in the Z so its a wash.

The CRV needed all the octane I could get. It was by far the slowest vehice I've ever drove in my life. I would set the cruise on 85 and if there was a hill or strong wind it would go down to 60 if I didn't put my foot into it. It really makes me appreciate the power of the Z.

The nice thing is that when I finally get my Z the gas mileage situation for me should improve over what I have now.

Talking SUV owner

Ok, I admit it.. I support the Terrorists by driving my Honda Pilot...

Come on, seriously I choose to drive around my precious 3 kids and wife in a big, comfortable and safe SUV rather than cramped in a tiny Ford focus (which we happen to own as a second car).

IMHO, those people who came up with that concept (SUV owners support Terrorists) are the biggest hypocrates. I am willing to bet that they don't drive economy cars that gets 40+ mpg, and more than likely drive cars like Lange Rovers, Hummer H2's Lincoln Navigators, etc.

Maybe those people should really really really THINK about what they are really saying. SUV owners buy the SUV's for a REASON fully knowing that a SUV will consume more gas than an average car. And there are sports cars out there that will burn up more gas faster than SUV!!!

BTW, do they know many cross-over SUV's gets 20+ mpg (granted it's mostly highway miles)? Compared to V8 Ford Explorer I used to drive, Pilot consumes much less gas and seems to be just as powerful.

I'm not venting.. just my 02 cents...

p.s. waiting for roadster was totally worth it.. good bye to my trusty focus and time to order me a roadster

Default Kidding

I hope everyone realizes that I was kidding about this topic. People can drive whatever they want but I do think they should pay for it and not get exempt from gas mileage standards because they have a truck.

I would like to see a 400HP Z that was water powered though.

gasoline only represents about 45% of the oil imported from the middle east. More of it goes to plastics, cosmetics, toys, and other goods. Oh yeah and my toyo tires.
