Default 06 vs. 07

I was thinking of purchasing a 06 350z this november/december. But hearing of the "performance enhancements" on the 07, should i wait until january to buy the 07 350z?

Jan's almost here, I would wait, or get a 06 at a good price!

If your going to heavily mod the Z (like turbo it) then I would save some money and buy a 06', but if your just going to basically keep it stock with maybe a few bolt on's then I would definatly wait for the 07' model..

Well, i do plan on modding the Z later on. I'm still a 18 year old on my way to college. Fell in love with the Z when i rode in my friends 2006. As soon as i hopped into the car, i knew this was the car i was going to get. I do plan on modding it out in the future.

The '07 model goes on sale in December. It might be well worth the wait because of an even newer motor.

Oh, advice for ya.... park far.... very far. Amazingly my Z never suffered scratches while I was in college, but when I started working fulltime I ended up having 3 deep paint chipping dents on the passenger side. >.<

Drive safe! It is easy to make the wrong choices and reget it.

+1 on that. Higher compression would make it even worse to turbo a VQ I would imagine. But hey, I'm no FI specialist.

Default 06 all the way!

I was in your shoes. Nissan is redesigning the Z for 08 and I could not make myself like the new hood of the 07 AND I LOVE Interlagos fire which is discontinued for 07. So in short, I located one about an hour and a half (touring with nav) by air from me and I am flying out tomorrow to pick up my 06! Got it for $100 over invoice! VERY excited.

Get a good deal on one now. Each new body style has gotten heavier and they are all beautiful in their own way, .

This is what I'd do... get both. Then turn one upside down and place it on top of the other one. Now you just get a friend to sit in the lower one while you sit upside down in the top one. Snap a picture of you friend in the lower car through the windshield. Show the picture to a pretty girl and tell her your name is Maverick.

Should I order a 2007 or pick up a 2006 that had been sitting on the dealers lot for 6 months.
