I bought my Z in October and a co-worker just got his last month. When walking out to the cars I noticed that my antenna is longer than his (insert phalic reference here). Its the same antenna, his is just about 1/2 as big. I wonder what this is all about??

 

did she put that antenna on? they do have "shortie" antennas that you can buy. or....maybe nissan decided to go with the smaller antenna from here on out???

 

No, he didnt replace it...I guess its a change they made 1/2 way through production.

 

wow...i really must be tires. i read it and thought you were writing about a female co-worker. (not that there is anything wrong with a female driving these cars). maybe i should go get a cup of coffee to wake up! haha.

 

I should do research BEFORE I post! I just asked him and he said he bought it online. He got it from this sites classifieds.
Its pretty cool cause it looks exactly like the original and he says he feels like reception is better. Go figure.

 

yeah....there's a post somewhere on this site which shows pictures. that's why i asked. cause it's exactly the same....but about 1/2 the size. i wonder if it works the same? i'm sure it does though.

man these shortys are expensive ($50.00) maybe a group buy would be in order?

 

i spell it woohoo! i've never spelled it whoohoo....haha.

but, yeah, 50 bucks for a smaller antenna. i can deal without it....unless a group buy can get it down to say 20 or 25.

it's not something that's gonna bother me...i'd rather finish up some other mods first.

 

There are other options as well .
