ok, this is my last post on this forum.

1st of, i knew it was too good to be true at first. every one was being so generous. something was just weird about that.
of course, people like "kyle" and "robbyn" have to come on this issue and totally bash everything. i am gonna come on the internet and lie? ya guys, what do i get out of lying to a bunch of people on the internet?? real smart fellas, real smart. geez, idiots! (sorry jmanz, but them two just jumped on a nerve)

anyways, i thank everybody for responding to my thread.
i will take some pics of the Z06 when i get it, and i will send it to jmanz so he can post the pics on here so some people like Kyle and robbyn can shove it!

i hope you all enjoy your 350 Z's, it is a great car!
take care.

and thank you Rob for being so supportive. Take care.

Default Corvette vs Z

I have posted before on this thread, but in re-reading the posts, I have a question: How much is the residual value at the lease's end and what kind off penalties will you have to pay if you decide to keep it? Deals that sound too good to be true are usually too good to be true. I think you are going to get hosed with a lease on the car; the dealers are pretty free to have you pay Big Bucks for any damage, etc. at lease end. The whole deal smells bad to me.

Actually, 2001 Z06's have a huge depreciation because the 2002's came out with 20 more HP just a year later. This pissed off a lot of Vette owners and made the car plummet like a rock in value. Imagine what will happen to the Z's value if 1 year later the Z goes from 287hp to 307?? Get the idea!

I also have looked at a number of used Z06's and silverstones claims seem to be spot on for a 2001 model. Dealers can't get rid of them!! Hell, look on Ebay. Not only will you find tons of 01's getting blown out, but you'll also find that guys selling the "405HP" badges that come on the 02's are doing a swift business.

Default Corvette vs 350 z

Again I have to eat my own words! If the Z06 vette with 385 hp is as devalued as a previous post says, then go for it if you are that impressed. I'll take the Z.

With that information I'd end up going with the 350Z.

Default money is no object...

Ok. Im with the skeptics. Get a Ferrari or a Mclaren. Those are MONEY sports cars. Not some used vette. yank someone elses chain.

You should never simplify a car purchase (or lease) to what you pay per month. Dealers always try to do that so as to hide the true price of the car. You can get just about any car for any price per month but what are the terms of the loan or lease? Make sure about their rules for what they call "excessive wear" on the car. Your definition and theirs may be very different, and you may be in for a surprise when you turn in the car. Leases are funny sometimes with all the cryptic language and terms used. The best bet is to nail him down on the actual PRICE of the car and then figure your payments out from there.

Hey, maybe your dealer is sincere and you got a great deal though. If so, Congrats.

Nuff said!
So... what's your point? The Z is brand new. There are zero on the road. That doesn't prove which car is better at all.
