Question Tranny question...

sooo while i was letting one of my friends dad drive my Z today [ which i JUST got ] i noticed it made some weird tranny noises [ 13k on tha car ] and it was while he was shifting..and it wasnt the sound of tha gears shifting either..any body have a clue or is this something common with the Z?

I dont know i've had bad experiences with trannys. You think you've got one thing but it ends up being another.

I think you need to be more descriptive of the noises and when they happened. I heard some "tranny noises" while he was shifting doesn't tell us very much.

The Z's transmission isn't exactly smooth as silk!!!
Its notchy from my experience going to 1st and 2nd gear.
The rest of the way seems to be nice! Does your dad's buddy
know how to drive manual properly??

dads a mechanic,
but that is true its always from 1st and 2nd gear
and rest is smooth...
sounds like sometihng common but not sure

You have a car that's under warranty, and you want to get a diagnosis for "weird tranny noises" from a message board???

TRANSMISSION noise is common until it starts to grind gears.

Just make sure you use protection with any tranny encounter...

...and don't tell your friends.
