Of course it also displays all the audio, climate, etc... Be nice with the sat radio. I wasn't much interested in the integrated sat radio prior, due to the small screen (unless you opted for nav)
Wow. If all 07's get this screen I might just scrap my plans of replacing the Bose HU with a Pioneer AVIC-D2. Something new to look forward to.

I'm going to have a blast whipping all you 07 ppl with your codpiece hoods.

Seriously though, I'd be a little hesitant buying an 07 when there's a strong possibility that the 08 Z/G will be redesigned and with more HP. For that reason, I wouldn't even consider trading in an 03-06 for an 07.

Speaking of 07 Nissan's.... I am anxious to check out the 07 Altima HEV with 42mpg... and also the Altima coupe with the VQ35...

Not that I would trade, but when you commute with a base Z you constantly wonder....

I was also checking out the possibility of theScion FUSE as a commuter car (banger). I would probablly get one and paint it matte black with a front bumper bar for these ****ty commutes.. Good gas mileage, wont give a **** if its hit, and it would look "gangster" ;(

True. The 08 G coupe will be the best indicator.

However, I still enjoy the Z33. 350z with HR motor is icing on the cake. Given the 350s good resale value, it's a risk I would be willing to take

If the HR engine gives it a sub five-second 0-60 and a 13.2 in the 1/4 out of the box, then I'll be the first in line! A smoother revving engine would be a plus too; there's just way too much vibration and harshness in the present engine (coming through the shifter). No pinging would also be appreciated. But bottom line is performance.

If we really have to go with the bulged hood... I may have second thoughts. I really don't care for it. I agree with another poster who thought it messes up the lines of the car... Maybe it looks better in person???

The vibration and "harshness" is not a product of the engine being unsmooth. It is a very smooth engine. This vibration is due to the shifter being directly connected to transmission. I must admit it is quite annoying as well. The new HR engine does the same thing with the 07 G Sedan (direct connection to transmission as well). Drive an auto Z or G and you'll realize what I'm saying.

The VQ is a smooth engine, but it feels like it is almost coming apart at higher rpms.

The HR isn't anything like that. It is smooth all the way to 7,500 RPM. I don't know if they changed anything or not on the 07 G sedan, but not only is the engine smoother, there is a noticeable lack of vibration coming through the shifter.

It's a complete new experience with the HR.

The internal presentation they released on the HR spoke about this at length. This seemed to be the main problem they wanted to solve with the HR.

Hey guys, if any of you happen to stumble across the pricing information... please post it. K,thx. I've contacted 3 dealers so far only to be given misinformation like; it's the same car as 06, etc. etc. If they do have the pricing information, they aren't telling me. Damn bastards! Everytime I ask an honest question, I'm given a new sales pitch for an 06. Gaaaah.

That's not surprising at all. When I went to the Seattle Auto Show last month, I asked the Infiniti rep to pop the hood on 07 G35 sedan so I could check out the new engine. He tells me it has the same engine as last years model. I tell him no, it has the new HR motor with dual throttle bodies. Thinking he's going to prove me wrong, he goes ahead and pops the hood and with an amazed look on his face he says, wow you're right. Laughable.

I went to the Motor Trend auto show here in Vegas expecting to get a good close up look of the '07. All they had was a damn '06 ZR . They did, however, have the '07 G sedan, so I WAS able to take a gander at the new engine. It's nice and pretty with those dual throttle bodies. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait till January to get a good look at the Z.

The 07 Sentra has it as well. We bought the first one our local dealer got on the lot.

I dont know where you friends get there info since the 07 Z aint even out yet. 350Z has be known to have a powerful top end. From 3rd to 5th it hauls ***. So with Dual TB's it'll have the low end and top end it needs. Plus the HR is higher compression so Im guessing they need more air so they add dual TBs.

they werent talking about the Z specifically, they were talking about dual intakes in general, one of those friends is a Master tech for chevy and he said the corvette was once being considered for dual intakes but because of the top end loss they decided against. Even the new C6ZO6 L7 is single intake. Am just curious thats all. I was actually bragging about it till they all schooled me a little LOL
