On the G35driver forums, it appears that the 08 G35C is supposed to be dubbed the "G37", which has the new 3.7 VQ...
If thats the case, anyone willing to bet that the seamingly missing "Track" edition will have the 3.7 VQ as well?
could just be rumors though

na you wont see the new motor until the new body stlye. you will see the new G coupe then probably a year later see the new Z with whatever engine the new G has.
the track edition was most likely phased out because of the overlap between it and the GT. bascially your talking a difference of leather and a few luxouries.

The 2007 350Z will again be available in Coupe and Roadster body styles and in an array of models – five for the Coupe, including a Grand Touring model, and three for the Roadster (including the Grand Touring automatic transmission version).
Who knows... at this point, we're all in the dark. I'm starting to lose hope on having my Z anytime soon.

it sucks, i'm ready to buy and theres no info available, nothing concrete...nothing..complete BS if you asked me
i mean the realease of an 07 model should've been no later than November, it makes me almost think that they're out to make the 07 model production run last really long so that the ALL NEW Z34 has time to come out mid-late 2008 as an 2009 model. Therefore making the 2008 model year either really short, or nonexistant
i'm just griping...:lol

New hood looks lame. I like how the coolant hose comes through the front cover now instead of around the passenger side of the engine. I wonder if that can be transplanted on the DE. I bet it has the rear block passage open now as well, similiar to the Pathfinder cooling mod. Wonder if the current heads will interchange on the block. I also wonder if the lower pan and engine mounts will interchange with the DE, so current models can see the same 10mm drop in engine placement. I bet if they are interchangeable, then current DE owners with Crawford plenums can use a stock strut bar by lowering the engine in the bay with the new pan and mounts. Aghh, I can't wait until someone has the new HR to take apart and compare to the DE. Maybe Performace Nissan or someone will be able to really chart the changes between the two engines and what is interchangeable.
