do you think it will provide clearance for a roots blower (i.e. stillen)?

no

the stillen bulge is much more aggressive. This looks just enough to house the new intake and upper plenum

My first experience with a Z was in the early '70s when I was to young to drive.
My neighbor had a Datsun 240Z and I got the chance to ride in it a few times.
Im sure my memories are sketchy but it seems like it had a small bulge in it shaped similar to the new '07s hood..

You are absolutely correct, but the case of the 240z was diff. the design flowed from the studio to production. the new buldge seems like "Crap the engine is too big, lets raise the hood."

All this negativity from a picture. Why not wait and see how it actually looks in real time? We all know of the online "angle" where a girl in a picture looks good but in reality she is This could be a reverse scenario.

Looks ugly to me... I don't see why it would look any better in the flesh than it does in the pics. --Spike

It's grown on me, always reserve the call until you touch it. Pictures don't always put things in the best light..you know "bad lighting on the porch"

No worries. I paid $200 over invoice for a car with 14 miles on the odo. After Nissan's cash back it was actually $800 under invoice. I could have had the same car for invoice at another dealership, but it had 140 mi. on it and those were likely hard, test drive miles. A proper break in is worth more than $200 to me.

I've heard that some dealers were extending the cash back offer until tomorrow (1/5), so I'd call around. But it's getting tougher and tougher to find the exact car you want (I was lucky, I did), so get out there and get that Z!

it doesn't look that bad. Besides, it's probably there for a reason. I'd be surprised if you could fit an 03-06 hood on it.

I'll have to see it in person.
So far I just think it makes the hood look too plain.
