Business tactics! They will make their prey starve and by doing so, some will give in and buy the 2006, given the price breaks their offering why not? The very patient ones will get the 2007, remember that everyone does not have the patience to do so!

Peace!

The car order was accepted in the Nissan system during the first week of November. The week before Thanksgiving, Nissan provided an estimated build date of December and an estimated delivery date of February. The dealer did indicate that he has MSRP pricing on the car, but invoice pricing is not yet available. I only care about invoice pricing since my VPP cost factor is based on invoice cost.

Does anyone think it is possible to buy a brand new 07 Z at invoice pricing?

haha, thank you, but what I meant was, "What is the 2007 Z's MSRP?" since he said the dealer had it

Yea I would like to know the MSRP on the 07 as well. If you could post the prices and trim levels that would be great.

If he confirmed the VIN on his 07 and delivery in Feb, does that mean that no one will be able to get one untill Feb????

Nissan is starting to P me off on this one.

But i am going to get an 07 and they can't make be buy an 06,

Cheers

I'm in North Carolina, ordered my 07 Z about two weeks ago. Been informed I have a Jan build date and a March delivery date. Haven't got any idea on pricing yet.

I ordered a DB GT. I was told they would try to locate one, but was told that it is not usual for dealers to order upper end models for the lot, especially in "off" colors (i.e not black/silver/white). I believe the cars will be in dealerships later this month (no hard data on that though).

Well, the wait begins...

Default Waiting

Let's be realistic here, some people have pre-ordered their Z's already and their ETA is Feb and March....this means that we probably won't see any z's in dealer lots until around those months if not later. Probably May/June, by that time 2008 models from other companies will be out....RIDICULOUS!

I agree this is RIDICULOUS!
But I wasn't planning on buying till I graduate in May anyway, so maybe if they do arrive in May we can wheel and deal more since the 08 models for the other companies will be out, we might have to wait but it might just be in our favor to wait so we can get money off.

Anyone think the reason why they are doing this is because they are planning on a complete overhaul for 08 and the 07 will actually be a base platform for the 08 just without the all new 08 body style. It might make since, new motor (big change)in 07 and a new hood (little Change) will make it easy to keep the motor and workings and just make a all new body style for 08 (big change) and keep the motor from 07 (little to no Change)
Or i could be loseing my mind and there isn' even a NISSAN 350Z

Cheers

Kevin

You guys need to relax a little. Releasing the car in January is not a "conspiracy" by Nissan to "force" any of you to buy an '06; kinda silly wouldn't you say?

It is common practice for manufacturers to slightly delay release of significantly updated models; which in case of the '07 Z's brand-new engine, is quite understandable. It isn't "ridiculous".

So if you can wait, good for you; it will be that much worth it. If not, there are plenty of other manufacturers with '07 inventory piling up in their lots. You are welcome to pay them a visit and be merry.

So...your saying that the 2007 Enthusiast's of $35,194 will be around the costs of a 2006 Grand Touring Coupe/Roadster? And perhaps then the 2007 350z Grand Touring will be around $40,000 +?
