I also thought that people would be talking this one up and yes this data is official. It is from the the Nissan dealer site (nnanet.com). The actual HP number may be 306 (the fax that I received is very light on the third character of the the HP number (looks like a 5, but it may be a 6).

So that means it really only has 6 more hp and 8 more lb/tq than the 06. Ok, I'm happy again haha! Glad I didn’t wait for the 07.
...but that twin intake does sound kinda kool, but not worth the wait.

I wouldnt be so quick to judge the new 350z's engine... The 07' G35 Sedan with the same new engine is 0.5' quicker to 0-60 mph... The 06' 350z's used a diffrent formula to figure HP/Torque figures then the 07' 350z, so you really can't compare them.. Have to wait for performance #'s to come in before knowing how good this new engine really is in the 350z...

I still estimate 13.6s average magazine 1/4mi.
BTW, I'm wondering what sort of exhaust setup it will have since the G has a dual muffler setup. It is interesting since it has some aero parts underneath the exhaust.
I also wonder if the Z will sound like the G. I listened to it start up, and it has a similar exhaust tone as our Z. I didn't hear it rev, though. The thought of it totally slipped my mind.
