"Change" and "Difference" are always a hard pill to swallow for some, but I guarantee the hood will look great in person, especially on the Black or San Marino Blue. I think the bulge is perfectly proportinal to the rest of the hood and overall design; break out your slide-rules people.

Just to balance out some of the negative comments on the '07 Z hood, I've got to say that I like it.

Nissan would have put the bulge in the hood from 2003 if it actually looked great. The whole paying homage to the 240Z baloney as some of you have suggested. But the car wasn't designed aesthetically with the bulge in the hood. Period. You can rationalize all you want about it looking great but the hood has a bulge for clearance and not for looks. I think there are maybe three aftermarket hoods with bulges in them and they aren't top sellers. That pretty much tells you that most Z owners don't like the look.

Nissan should leave the "homage" to companies that really can't come up with any new attractive designs, like Ford (Mudstain), Chevy (Cameo), and Dodge (Challenged mentally). This "homage" BS is really just a way of saying, "um, Our design engineers can't think of anything so they just recycled what was already done."
If Nissan goes with my suggestion, then the lines of the car will match much better. You can find it here, posting # 25

Enthusiast vs Touring....
Gentlemen, do you think it's worth to get the Touring edition instead of the Enthusiast edition if you don't really care that much about power seats, heated sits and the Boss Audio system??..your input will be greatly appreciated....
