Default Listen to the new VQ35HR!!!!

Go to http://www.vq35hr.com/tech.shtml
At the bottom is a link and you can click that to hear the new exhaust note. Warning, it is very deep and will make your pants have a lump just like the hood of the 2007 350z.

Well, per their website, "The new VQ35HR engine will be used in the 2007 G35 Sedan and the 2007 350Z. The G35 Coupe will keep the VQ35DE for the time being, likely being the first recipient of the new 3.7 liter derivation in 2008."

So, maybe you can trade yours in for an '08 G. Problem solved.

I wasn't really too impressed with the exhaust note. Heck, toss on most aftermarket and it sounds 10x louder and meaner.

It sounds like a normal car to me; it doesnt have that signature "Z sound" to it.

This sound clip is from the 2007 G35 Sedan... it sounds awsome

The 08 G35 coupe/ and Next gen Z will probably sound even meaner

I dont think it will be mod friendly though, for one you know the ECU will be a tough nut to crack and the emmisions are a big focus these days so even after market exhaust will throw cel codes left and right. The ECU on 03 models was the easiest to deal with and as years go by it gets harder to re-map the ECU so new model will take a lot of work. I could be wrong but I we will have to wait and see.

It sounds good.

I like my 06 though its fast enough for me. I could have waited and gotten an 07 but then I'd just be disapointed when the 08 came out so its 6 for one half a dozen the other.

+1 it sounds nice but it's not unique I don't think I would recognize it if I heard it go by.

Yeah your right

It'll still be better than the 06 no doubt, but it still won't sound better.
