Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!

its like some baby mammas drama in here

Just kidding...

I actually think they both kinda screwed each other. if they are in "good" condition then they should be delivered in that state. If both parties agreed on $400 refund, then it should have ended once that refund was given. You both suck, but thats just my worthless $.02

sounds good. a 'decent' (4) set of used tires for 19's should be 400 give or take. you got your money.

send the rims back if you have such a problem. that is all.

The story is the same just he's covering his @ss.. Bottom line is my z is still sitting in the garage due to being lied to from the start. Even though he made an attempt to make it right, it is still not enough. I have sent these pics to 2 moderators in hopes they can resize the pics to post. I'm sure at this rate he will become a great business man..

^ i think your missing the point.

Sure, nismo33 net gain was 1350 but brookes net loss was 1850. Plus brooke now has to have new tires bought, shippedn mounted and balanced. He also has to transport the wheels to a high end shop that likely charges 30 bucks to mount tires per rim.

So now brookes has to buy 800 dollar tires, and pay roughly 50 to ship them and then another 120 to mount them. His net loss will then be 2820 +-.

If the tires have nails, flat spots and dry rot or even cords then they are in poor condition and need replacement. No matter how good you think he got of a deal, the item was still falsly advertised.

Seller was clearly at fault for not accurately describing the tires, but the refund he gave you is more than adequate. Consider yourself lucky, I bet most people would not have done this for you.

Ok lets say for instance I was some young kid not knowing about tires and put these on my car to drive and got into an accident because the tires were in horrible shape. I guess the possibility of losing my life is worth a Good Deal on Volks??? Your a smart guy... And if someone can show me where to buy used tires for my volks for $400 I'm all ears!!!!!!!!

I see the point if the tires are so OBVIOUSLY shot, like the seller no way could have beleived they were usable, then no matter what, buyer has a case.

But if you like the rims and they are what you expected, and you want to keep them, maybe the seller should be refunding the cost to get them mounted/balanced on top of the replacement tire cost. so another 100 is in order to satisfy me.

Did you ask for pictures of the tires before you agreed to buy them?

Im guessing you had already sold your old rims and tires? That would explain your anger at getting unacceptable tires.

Nismo is at fault for misrepresenting the tires, but you have to give him some credit, he tried to make it right, and you agreed to $400. You're understandably pissed because youre having to spend more time and money than expected, even though you're still getting a good deal. The problem is, you can't ask for something, get it, and then complain. My sympathy has waned as the thread went on.

To resize pics with a Windows OS:

Right click on the picture/file name...
Select Open with>
Select Paint

Once the picture is loaded in Paint:
Click on Image at the top right of the screen.
Click on Stretch/Skew...

Within this menu is percentages to adjust the Height (Vertical) and Width (Horizontal). 100% = what you currently have. To make it smaller, type in a number less than 100% for both the Horizontal and Vertical field.

When the picture(s) are the right size - SAVE!!

Then post with attachments or upload the pics to a host like cardomain.

My question: What would it take to "be enough" of an effort to ammend the problem?

Now that's just not right. I care for everyones safety and as soon as you expressed that you were unhappy I called you back the same day and went over every issue and came up with a resolution and I complied with it. I never agreed with you that the tires were screwed. My reputation as a seller and member has been stellar until this deal. I offered to buy back the wheels you declined, I sent you $400 which you accepted and took out that same day. You taking the money with the note on the paypal should have left it at that. I even sent the paypal via direct transfer from my bank account so you wouldn't get charged the paypal fee.

Nismo initially seemed at fault for false advertisement (although I still have not seen the tires), however, when you agree to accept a $400.00 refund than it becomes a done deal.
